Why Choose Valor Locksmith

Why Chicago Homeowners Choose Valor Locksmith for Locksmith

Since 2013, homeowners across Chicago have trusted Valor Locksmith for lock work that holds up to real city life. We’ve built our reputation one job at a time, from Bridgeport bungalows to high-rise condos in the Loop. Local customers keep calling us back because we show up when we say we will, quote honestly before any work begins, and stand behind what we install. When a deadbolt fails or keys disappear, you want a locksmith who treats your home like their own. That’s the standard we’ve worked by for 13 years, and it’s why our strongest growth comes from neighbor referrals.

6 Reasons We’re Chicago’s Top Locksmith Company

Deep Roots in Chicago’s Neighborhoods

We’ve worked in Chicago since 2013, and that local experience matters more than most people realize. Chicago’s housing stock runs from 19th-century greystone walk-ups in Douglas to mid-century frame homes in McKinley Park to new construction in the Near South Side, and each requires a different approach to hardware and door prep. Our team knows how humidity off Lake Michigan affects lock cylinders and why older Chicago doors often need custom strike plate work. When you describe your door over the phone, we know what you’re likely dealing with because we’ve seen it hundreds of times in your area.

A Reputation Built on Showing Up and Doing It Right

We don’t chase volume; we chase trust, and Chicago homeowners have responded to that. Our strongest source of new work is a neighbor telling another neighbor about us after a lockout or a rekey in Lower West Side or South Lawndale. Customers regularly tell us they chose us because someone they know personally recommended us, and that means more to us than any advertising campaign ever could. We treat every job as if our reputation depends on it, because in neighborhoods like Bridgeport and Grand Boulevard, it absolutely does.

Licensed, Insured, and Accountable

Every locksmith working under the Valor name is required to hold the license and insurance that the state of Illinois mandates for the trade. We don’t cut corners on credentialing because it protects you as much as it protects us. Before any work starts, feel free to ask about our coverage, and we’ll be happy to walk you through it. Nobody wants an unvetted stranger handling their home’s security, and we’ve built our hiring standards around that exact concern.

Real Expertise with Schlage, Kwikset, and Medeco Hardware

Chicago homes carry an enormous range of lock hardware, and we work with all of it daily. We install and service Schlage deadbolts and handlesets that dominate the residential market, and we rekey Kwikset cylinders constantly because they’re so common in older Chicago apartments and houses. For customers who want high-security protection, we work with Medeco locks, which require specialized tools and training to service properly. Whatever brand is on your door today, we can work on it without improvising.

Transparent Pricing You Can Hold Us To

The locksmith industry has a well-known problem with bait pricing, and we refuse to play that game. When you call us at (877) 870-5926, you’ll get a full price quoted on the phone before anyone is dispatched, and that’s the price on your invoice. No mysterious add-ons when we arrive, no call-out surcharge tacked on at the door. What we quote is what you pay. That’s been our policy since 2013, and it’s the reason customers in West Town and New City feel comfortable recommending us to family.

Workmanship We Stand Behind

We offer a warranty on our work because we expect it to last. If something we installed or serviced isn’t functioning the way it should, we come back and make it right. That applies whether it’s a simple rekey in a Chicago condo or a full deadbolt replacement in a Brighton Park single-family home. Our promise is straightforward: the work is done correctly, and if it isn’t, we fix it.

Our Promise to You

When you hire Valor Locksmith, you’re getting a few simple commitments. We quote the full price on the phone at (877) 870-5926 before we dispatch anyone, and that price is the final price on your invoice. We don’t add charges when we show up. If you’re not satisfied with the work we performed, call us and we’ll make it right. We operate during the hours we publish: Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You’ll know exactly when to expect us, and you’ll know exactly what the work will cost. That’s the entire deal, and we’ve kept it that way for 13 years across Chicago.
